HP has partnered with FACEIT to host the OMEN UK Open, an online tournament for up-and-coming CS:GO talent featuring a $12,500 prize fund and an additional $17,500 in hardware prizes.

The OMEN UK Open will span six months and will begin with eight open qualifiers, followed by a two-month league that will culminate with the finals on November 17-18. The tournament is open to players from countries within the European Economic Area (EAA), but teams must have a minimum of three UK residents to be eligible to compete.

OMEN UK Open will run from April through November

The prize pool for the tournament includes $12,500 in cash and $17,500 worth of OMEN products. There will be an additional $2,500 worth of hardware products for up-and-coming casters, who can sign-up for the OMEN UK Open Community Caster Challenge to get the chance to commentate on the action.

"With the launch of the OMEN UK Open, HP is celebrating the competitive spirit that drives grassroot gamers across Britain," said George Brasher, UK and Ireland Managing Director at HP.

"The OMEN UK Open is a unique opportunity for HP to support the expansive UK CS:GO community - a passionate group of gaming fans at the very heart of Esports – by offering up and coming players a platform to showcase their talent."

The tournament will be streamed live on Twitch.tv/OMENbyHPEurope. All teams interested in competing in the OMEN UK Open can sign up for the qualifiers here, while casters eager to prove their worth in the Community Caster Challenge can go here.
